【Chinese Food in Tokyo, Japan】Savoring Authentic Sichuan Cuisine in Ebisu: Lunch at Chuka Shunsai Ryori Toho Kou
If you’re looking for an authentic Sichuan dining experience in Tokyo, Chuka Shunsai Ryori Toho Kou in Ebisu is a must-visit. This restaurant offers a delightful array of Sichuan dishes that perfectly capture the essence of the region's bold flavors.
The Meal: During my visit, I enjoyed the Sichuan Hot Pot Mapo Tofu (A Lunch Set), which was priced at ¥1,460. This set came with a hearty bowl of Mapo Tofu, served alongside soup, pickled vegetables, a fresh salad, rice, and a dessert to complete the meal. The Mapo Tofu was packed with flavor, showcasing the rich and spicy profile that Sichuan cuisine is known for. To enhance the experience, I paired my meal with a glass of Shaoxing Rice Wine (甕だしグラス), priced at ¥500. The mellow, slightly sweet flavor of the Shaoxing Wine was a perfect complement to the spicy Mapo Tofu.
