Beginner Jazz Guitar Progress: Chords, Inversions & CAGED System


As a beginner in jazz guitar, learning the fundamentals like chord inversions, harmonization, and the CAGED system is crucial for developing a deeper understanding of the fretboard and music theory. In this post, I detail my journey as I explore these jazz guitar techniques, providing tips and insights into the process of mastering them.

Chord inversions offer a way to voice chords across the fretboard, giving you more options in your playing. Harmonization helps create richer, more dynamic sounds. The CAGED system, meanwhile, is an essential tool for navigating the fretboard, making it easier to find chords and scales in different positions.
